A First Generation Artist of Erhu revealing Erhu's Quintessence of Beauty'

Beginning to learn to play Erhu when she was 4. She also took part as an Erhu player in Shanghai traditional music band 'Spring' and Shanghai Women's Traditional Music Band.
In 2007, Lu Yifei moved to South Korea to study Ciematic Sounds at Soon Chun Hyang University. While studying, Lu Yifei  played Erhu for Korean dramas such as "Arang and the Magistrate", appeared in "Cruel Palace - War of Flowers" and KBS FM "Zoom In Korea" as a guest VJ.
Since 2015, she has released five albums and also participated in the production of several film and television works.
She is an erhu artist active in the exchange of music between China and South Korea. Not only is she a performer, but also a lover of Korean traditional music. In 2018, she studied composition of Korean traditional music at Ewha Womans University and has since released multiple works featuring the collaboration between erhu and Korean traditional music.
In order to help friends around the world fall in love with the erhu, she is also active on online platforms. On YouTube, she covers many famous songs using her unique way of playing the erhu. She has her own fan group and is considered a leader in the international erhu community.
Showing her interests in education, Lu Yifei  is also a teacher in Korea Association of Arts lecturing about Erhu's other possibilities and grafting Erhu with Korean traditional instruments as well as doing her own research about Erhu. 
Lu Yifei is committed to guiding and promoting the erhu. Since 2009, she has founded the "Gongming Erhu Academy"(궁울림) to promote erhu teaching, explore other possibilities related to erhu, and develop techniques to integrate erhu with Korean traditional instruments. She is also conducting her own erhu research.
